Introduction

Hello, I am Dr. David Archer, owner and founder of LearningMesure.com and LearningMeasure.tv. LearningMeasure.com and LearningMeasure.tv exist for the purpose of providing training and consulting services, with emphasis on measurement. We are trying to build a consultant network to solve technical problems over a wide variety of technical fields, and to develop training to assure that solutions are sustainable.

LearningMeasure.com initially was developed to try to meet the need for training for scientists, engineers, and technicians in subjects that would assist their careers. Primarily due to the observation through interviewing candidates for engineering positions fresh from college, that they do not have the skill set required to be a functional engineer. This is especially true in the measurement field. Also through observation, this type of knowledge is still typically obtained by throwing an inexperienced engineer to the sharks and having them either be consumed, or fight their way to productivity.

It seemed like an opportunity to try to do something about the situation, so LearningMeasure.com was born. It was always our intent to eventually produce training videos to supplement the course material, and a video podcast seemed to be a good supplement to that idea, so LearningMeasure.tv was born.

We realized early on the best way to deal with this is to develop a network of independent consultants to assist with the development of training materials, and in providing direct consulting services to our business customers. This is mutually beneficial to us, our business customers, and to consultants in our network, as well as friendly to the environment by providing opportunities to reduce commuting and travel costs.
