This episode is the second in a series of podcasts on the seven basic tools of quality, and covers the check sheet, the histogram, and the Pareto diagram or Pareto chart. We are covering this material because it is part of the ASQ certified calibration technician body of knowledge. What we are covering is useful in other contexts as well.
The subject of this podcast is flowcharts. Flowcharts are a tool to graphically depict a process. Measurements are always part of a process. Flowcharts are one of the seven basic quality tools as defined by Kaoru Ishikawa. This is the first of a series of podcasts on these tools.
