In this episode we will discuss the basics of the decibel, or dB. The decibel is a logarithic measurement scale. The episode starts with a little review on the properties of the logarithm, followed by the definition of the decibel as a measure of power ratio, and how absolute values can be characterized by dB when a reference is specified, finally how to use dB in measurement equations and uncertainty analysis is described.
Most of this episode is based on the LearningMeasure.com course EE103 - Introduction to the decibel.

In this episode, the temperature outside was 118F or 47C, and the air conditioning was non functional, that paired with the fact I have relatively hot lights, led me to rush a little bit too fast through the material. That being said I briefly covered some notation, the concepts of conditional probability, and other fundamental probability concepts.
