I know it was awhile since my last episode. I was sent on a trip for my day job, and I had a bad case of bronchitis for two weeks, which I am not completely over. This episode I decided to cover something a little different, basic statistics. Statistics are used in measurement all the time, often one looks at the mean and standard deviation of several measurements to get a better idea of the value and characterize the repeatability of the process. This podcast covers many of the basic statistics that one may come across in measurement.

Those of you who know statistics will notice I made a mistake when drawing distributions, I called a distribution with negative skew a positive skew and vice versa. I can’t believe I did that, but for some reason I did. Sorry about that, I didn’t catch the mistake until after I posted the episode. I will mention it next week.
