As you can probably see, the “look and feel” of this site is now more consistent with our sister site learningmeasure.com. It took a bit of work to figure out how to make wordpress do this, but it is complete. The main problem was to get the site to look consistent with internet explorer 6 and earlier and with actual standards-based browsers such as firefox. Anyway integrating them together is proceeding relatively smoothly now. Clicking on the “home” icon above in the menu bar takes you to learningmeasure.com, clicking on the “tv” icon above on either site brings you to learningmeasure.tv.
I have decided when I start my video podcast I will start with episode -5, and then work my way up to zero. Each of the initial episodes will have some content, but the main purpose of the initial episodes is to work out the issues with producing this content. The plan is to make episode -5 the episode I get the rss feeds working, get the podcast in iTunes, integrate the result in wordpress, and get familiar with the equipment and editing software.
Let me know if you have any suggestions for the podcast, courses, articles, etc.. I want this experience to be interactive, but not as open as a wiki. Me or my staff will review all submissions to both sites, be that articles, course content, etc..
I am still looking for people to join our consultant network. Currently we are looking for someone who lives in the Las Vegas area (or is willing to commute on weekends) to help produce training videos on soldering/desoldering, and on various instrumentation topics in exchange for a split in the sales revenue.
Any test equipment manufacturers willing to demonstrate their products on our podcast, please email us as well. If you are in the measurement field, and would like to be interviewed on our podcast, and you are visiting the Las Vegas area, let us know.
